Roxeth Mead School was founded in 1859 by Mrs. Hebe Prior, and for most of its life occupied part of the house known as Roxeth Mead. In January 1993 it moved next door into Buckholt House, a large Victorian house with spacious secluded gardens.

Mrs Alison Isaacs who has been at the school since 1984 is the Head Teacher. She heads an experienced, dedicated and well-qualified staff who give the school a happy family atmosphere.
